Who we are
The Campaign for Family Justice Accountability (CFJA) is a UK campaign collecting people's experiences of fact-finding hearings in the family courts of England and Wales. We are responsible for the information you give us.
What we collect
Your form answers (court area, nearest town, who decided your case, whether it finished, whether you appealed) and, only if you agree to be contacted, your name and email. We do not collect your IP address, and text pasted into the paperwork checker is never saved.
Why and lawful basis
We use your answers to build an anonymous picture of how fact-finding hearings are used, and to campaign for reform. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
No one, except our service providers: HubSpot (only if you agree to be contacted) and our website host. We never sell your information. Any statistics we publish are anonymous and combined.
How long we keep it
Up to 24 months from submission. After that, identifying details are deleted and only anonymous statistics are kept.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent, at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Contact
Email us at contact@cfja.uk. If you have a submission reference number, include it so we can find your record.
